About Us

The Matrix Financial Group
Glen A. Ladau, CFP®, CPA, CLU

What we do best is listen...

What makes The Matrix Financial Group stand apart from other financial service firms and what makes our clients place so much confidence in us is that we invest so much of ourselves with our clients. We take the time to really understand your concerns, needs and objectives. We share with you as much information as we can to help you make sound, educated financial decisions. And, most importantly, once we help you establish a course of action to reaching your goals, we speak with you on a regular basis to make sure you are staying on the right track.

At The Matrix Financial Group, we know the key to helping you make the most of your retirement years is to listen and learn about the things in life that are most important to you. Glen A. Ladau, President of The Matrix Financial Group, is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Public Account and Chartered Life Underwriter. Glen is originally from Wantagh, Long Island, New York. He graduated from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He spent five years as a senior accountant in the entrepreneurial service group of Ernst & Young's New York office. In 1989, he moved to Florida to become a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Ladau & Vitale.

In August of 1994, Glen founded The Matrix Financial Group where he incorporates not only his experience in estate planning, tax planning, financial and business consulting, but also incorporates a very unique, personal approach to working with clients. As Glen describes it, "What we do best is listen."

Here are some questions people frequently
ask Glen before meeting with him

What does it cost to meet with you?

There is never any cost to meet. If you choose to implement any of the ideas we recommend, our compensation can be structured in a variety of ways. But, you do not pay to meet with us.

If I have a broker, is it still worthwhile to meet with you?

Yes, it is. There are significant differences between working with a stock broker and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. A broker's primary function is to handle stock and bond transactions for you. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ will analyze your current situation to determine whether your portfolio will allow you to continue to maintain your lifestyle as well as meet your financial goals in the most effective manner. Your CFP® will help you develop an overall strategy, which may include making adjustments to your portfolio, implementing life insurance or long-term care insurance to protect your assets or estate tax planning to leave more to your heirs and less to the IRS.

How will you work with me to help me achieve my financial goals?

First, we take the time to meet with you to learn your financial needs and goals. We then help you design a strategy that will help you achieve your objectives. We will discuss your options with you and assist you in deciding which products you feel most comfortable implementing within the strategy. We can handle any necessary transactions for you and meet with you periodically to review and assess your accounts. It is important to keep in mind your needs and goals will probably change over the years and unexpected events are certain to occur. Understanding this, we make it our business to maintain our relationship with you so we can be aware of these changes and assist you in making adjustments.

If I'm not sure I'm ready to make changes and I don't want to waste your time, do you still want to meet with me?

Yes. We can not expect you to know whether you want to make changes until you see the options presented to you. And, remember, there is no cost to meet with us.

Retirement

Retirement represents a natural pause in life, a time to evaluate what you have and what you want for your remaining years.

No one can predict the future so planning for twenty-five, even thirty, years of retirement can be overwhelming. Working with a financial professional you can trust and having a financial strategy can help you find the many answers to your questions about retirement. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a well-developed strategy, which includes goals and action steps, can give you the stability you need when life takes unexpected turns.
